    Student-Academic Advisor Partnership
Students and Academic Advisors are partners in the planning process and share the responsibility for developing an ongoing relationship.  Students should expect to take on increasing levels of responsibility as they progress toward senior year.

Principles that guide the Student-Advisor Partnership:

    Professionalism
Both parties will conduct themselves in a professional manner.

    Courtesy
Both parties will keep appointments, or notify the other in advance if the appointment cannot be kept.

    Accuracy
Students should accurately convey infromation concerning plans, goals and changes in circumstances to the Advisor.  The Advisor should be informed and provide accurate information about policies and procedures.

    Responsibility
Students should take on increasing responsibility for their academic progress over the time from freshman to senior year. The Advisor should be responsible for appropriate referrals and follow-up with students.
