In order to assist as many students as possible, walk-ins are limited to approximately 15 minutes per student. Walk-ins are seen on a first-come, first-served basis and are best utilized for urgent issues. If you need to discuss certain issues (such as course curriculum scheduling), it is best to make an appointment so that you are not rushed. Please remember that this is a professional office and we want to maintain a pleasant, non-chaotic environment for all of our visitors.

Please note that Senior Clearance appointments must be made one week in advance, according to the advisor's schedule.

Students generally see their advisors to discuss various issues. A few examples include:

    • Core curriculum requirements
    • Course scheduling
    • Academic progress
    • Changing concentrations (also see co-op )
    • Changing divisions (see co-op first)
    • Taking a leave of absence
    • Graduation requirements

If you have a quick general question, feel free to call the main line at (617) 373-3270 or send us an e-mail at ugbs@neu.edu. Questions pertaining to individual course scheduling should be directed to your Academic Advisor.
