    Student Clubs and Organizations

CBA students have the opportunity to learn more about the industry and strengthen their networking skills by participating in a host of business-related clubs and organizations as well as honors societies.

    Entrepreneurs Club

The Entrepreneurs/Innovators Club introduces its members to the world of entrepreneurship through activities with successful and established entrepreneurs as well as those just starting companies. The club provides a venue for members to both network and receive guidance for their own ventures. The club supports new entrepreneurs in the NU community through networking opportunities, advising and consultation, field trips, guest speakers and by providing seed money for new ventures.

    Finance and Investment Club

The Finance and Investment Club supports the development of future financial professionals through career-orientated activities which include weekly presentations by guest speakers from the local business community, faculty members and Northeastern alumni. Each semester the club organizes a trip to NYC in which selected students have the opportunity to tour the New York Stock Exchange in addition to other finance related venues and institutions. The club promotes continuous learning about the equity market as students are encouraged to participate in a Virtual Stock Market Stimulation and "Guess the Dow" challenge.

    The Professional Skills Club

The Professional Skills Club aims to provide it's members with applicable skills for future co-op positions and careers. Our first meeting of each month involves a professional guest speaker to go over the basics of topics such as public speaking, networking, interviewing, negotiation or computer skills; we then practice these skills through games and competitions in subsequent meetings. All years and majors are welcome and we encourage any interested students to contact us for further information or ideas to be demonstrated in future meetings.
