BSIB Program Structure
- A unique, innovative and demanding degree program
- Established in 1994
- Exchange program with the International Partnership of Business Schools (IPBS)
- First 3 years of study at Northeastern
- Business Courses (core courses and concentration courses in a functional area)
- Language Courses (French, German, Spanish, Italian and Chinese)
- Liberal Arts Courses
- Junior year abroad at one of the partner institutions
- 1 semester of study in the language of the host country
- 6-month work placement in the host country
- Option of completing the Senior year abroad and receiving a degree from Northeastern and the host institution (not available for all tracks)
Students enter the program on one of six tracks.

- Acquire unique insights from the experience of living, studying and working abroad
This is a unique program which offers students an opportunity to both study and work overseas in the language of the host country, building upon Northeastern's long-established strengths as one of the originators of cooperative education. By training students to become future global managers, the BSIB program develops highly qualified professionals who bring a more competitive edge in world markets to US corporations. On a local level, it strengthens international education, attracts talented students and encoursges inter-collegiate collaboration at Northeastern.
