Research and Teaching Interests

Professor Kovacs has taught courses in investments, international financial management, derivatives, and corporate finance. Her research interests include information assimilation in financial markets, trading imbalance, security issues, and capital structure.

Awards and Honors

Awarded Outstanding Finance paper award at the 2012 Eastern Finance Association meeting. “Investor Recognition and Seasoned Equity Offers,” co-authored with Don Autore.

Industry and Academic Experience

Prior to enrolling in her doctoral studies, Professor Kovacs worked as a consultant at the Investment and Trade Development Agency of Hungary, assisting foreign investors in Hungary and promoting trade between Hungarian and international businesses.

Professional Services

Professor Kovacs serves as Ad Hoc Reviewer for the Journal of Economics and Business. She was on the Financial Management Association’s 2007 annual meeting program committee. Professor Kovacs is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Finance Association and the Financial Management Association.
