    Social Enterprise Institute Logo(1)Welcome

At Northeastern's College of Business Administration (CBA), we have undertaken what we believe to be an innovative approach to developing a new generation of socially responsible business leaders. While our traditional classroom and cooperative education programs provide students with a powerful foundation upon which to build successful business careers, our new Social Enterprise Institute (SEI) provides interested students with the unique opportunity to become globally aware business leaders, by helping to build micro-enterprises catering to the poor in developing countries.

Social entrepreneurship is a small but rapidly growing area of study within the field of entrepreneurship. Universities offering social entrepreneurship programs of study include Harvard and MIT locally, as well as Wharton, Duke, Stanford and others.

As we move forward on our path to create more globally aware business leaders, we feel that our new programs and social focus will expose students to this new and growing discipline. Above all, the Social Enterprise Institute at Northeastern University is focused on using social enterprise as a platform for teaching the importance of integrity, compassion, global awareness and social responsibility in all types of management and leadership.
