Research and Teaching Interests

Professor André’s research interests include organizations and the natural environment, gray sector organizations (benefit corporations, quangos, and hybrids), and management pedagogy.

Industry and Academic Experience

Before joining the CBA Faculty, Professor André held professional positions at MCA, Inc., IBM, and General Motors Corporation. She has been a visiting professor at the University of Ulster, Belfast, Northern Ireland; the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand; L’Ecole Supérieure du Commerce, Reims, France; and the Semester at Sea Voyage of the University of Pittsburg.

Professional Services

Professor André is currently serving a three year term as president of the OBTS Teaching Society for Management Educators. She has served on the OBTS Board of Directors, where she championed the diversity endowment, and as Chair of the Roethlisberger and the David L. Bradford Award committees. She has been a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Management Education since 1998.
