Curriculum


  • The Master of Science in Finance program requires 30 credits: 18 credits of required courses; 12 credits of electives (three credits may be non-finance electives). Students begin the program in the Fall term. Students may complete the program on a full-time basis in 10,12, or 16 months or part-time basis (4 full semesters and one summer term). 

    Students may also participate in two-week international summer programs in Asia, Eastern Europe, China or South America. Participation in a corporate residency is not possible in this program.

    Students interested in pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation will find that faculty members have integrated CFA materials into the curriculum. Students pursuing the Certified Financial Planner® designation may take one or two electives in the Graduate School of Professional Accounting.

    Please note: Some students may be required to take the Finance Seminar in the Spring Semester and Financial Strategy in the second Fall Semester. The 16-month plan provides no classes during the Summer Terms. Internships, co-ops or other work programs are not available within the MSF Program.
