Welcome to Northeastern University's Center for Emerging Markets
Founded in 2007, the Center is dedicated to conducting research on how firms can leverage high-growth emerging markets for global competitive advantage and to disseminating best practices for success in such countries.
The Center for Emerging Markets (CEM) leverages the expertise of Northeastern University's faculty in several colleges. Our affiliated faculty members have a wealth of expertise on emerging economies. CEM builds on NU's reputation as a leading center for research in International Business. The Center works closely with companies and managers, and is guided by a distinguished External Advisory Board.
The Center organizes conferences, seminars, and talks, and supports faculty research in emerging markets, e.g., the Northeastern University-Wharton School conference that resulted in the book Emerging Multinationals in Emerging Markets. The Center organizes campus events, and facilitates international study experiences for students in emerging economies. And it organizes outreach events for the business community.
The Center was launched with seed money provided by the Liberty Mutual Foundation, whose generous support is gratefully acknowledged.
