The “Top Scholar” designation was recently awarded to
Professor Fareena Sultan of the Marketing Group in the CBA. The award, presented by the University of Bocconi in Milan, Italy, was granted based on Professor Sultan’s research expertise in Digital Marketing, and distinctly in recognition in her research on Mobile Marketing.
Professor Sultan was selected for this honor by a committee of faculty at the University of Bocconi, after a review of global scholarly candidates. As part of this award, Sultan visited the University and presented a research seminar on her work regarding “Global Mobile Marketing.” Here Professor Sultan had the opportunity to meet with PhD students about their research projects, and potential collaborations with faculty. New joint projects such as “Location-Based Mobile Marketing” are being discussed in complement to existing projects on which Sultan and the business school are working.
Administrators from the University of Bocconi’s Business School sat down with Professor Sultan to learn more about the College of Business Administration. Sultan shared information about CBA’s mentoring program for junior faculty, based on her experiences in the Marketing Group.
Professor Sultan remarks, “I am honored to have been selected as a ‘Top Scholar’ by the University of Bocconi and thank the University of Bocconi for this acknowledgement.”
